How do we begin an engagement?

The process starts with a short introductory call — typically 30 minutes — where we discuss the context of your business, the scope you have in mind, and whether one of our standard engagements fits your situation. If it does, we send a brief scope document for your review before any work begins.

Can engagements be customised?

Our three published engagements represent the most common client needs, and the fixed-price structure reflects a well-defined scope. If your situation calls for something different — a narrower focus, a combined approach, or a different timeline — we discuss that during the introductory call and adjust accordingly.

What size of company do you typically work with?

Most Otterwick clients are small to mid-size businesses in Hong Kong — typically between 10 and 300 employees — that have reached a stage where professional input on contracts, growth, or performance is worth commissioning properly rather than working around.

How is confidentiality managed?

A mutual NDA is signed before any client documents or data are shared. We do not discuss client work externally, and all deliverables remain the sole property of the client. Our confidentiality policy is included in the engagement letter for every project.

What are your payment terms?

We invoice 50% at engagement start and 50% upon delivery of the final report or framework. Payment is accepted by bank transfer in Hong Kong dollars. The fee quoted is the fee charged — there are no additional costs for standard communication, meetings, or revisions within scope.

Do you work with companies outside Hong Kong?

Our primary focus is businesses operating in Hong Kong or expanding into the region. For companies based elsewhere with significant Hong Kong operations, we are generally well-positioned to assist — the introductory call is the best place to work through that.
